America's Cutest Puppy

  1. On Saturday, November 4th Stacey and I woke up at 7am to get our little boy Arlo to
America’s Cutest Puppy, which was to begin at 8am Sharp. It took us a little while, but we were finally able to get Arlo to the car.

    He was ready for action.

We got to the place and were kind of overwhelmed with the amount of people in the large place.

  2. and at how many of them were crazy

  3. We made some new friends, like a two and a half pound chihuaha named Cheech:

    who was a little nutty:

There were a lot of people. 52 Dogs was the final count, I’m pretty sure.
    Arlo was in shock.

But he contented himself by chewing on ice cubes

  4. There were a lot of average looking puppies.

    Some picture-perfect puppies:

and one of the strangest looking chows that ever lived:

Arlo didn’t know what to think of her:

  5. Finally, the first elimination round happened.
42 dogs were cut, leaving the top 10 – which included:

(the dog with the T-shirt making parents (above))

one of the cutest ‘puggle’-looking puggles we’ve ever seen:

    (his name is Bruzer)

The cute pug (who’s owner looked exactly like him)

one of the most well behaved puppies I’ve ever seen:

    his name is Buddha.

and of course, our little monster:

  6. Arlo had his ups and downs, but overall – he was a pretty good boy

He spent the second half of the afternoon laying down

here he is on his “winner’s blanket” everyone who moved on to the top 10 was
given a gift bag, which included this pad to lay on – instead of the hard rubber floor.

I think he was comfortable on it, because he stayed there for a while

    He was pretty beat

  7. I’m probably already giving away too much info, as we signed a confidentiality agreement.
But overall, it was a pretty fun day.

We got eliminated going into the top 5.
